Peggy Talbot, has worked in the Waukegan and North Chicago communities for the last 13 years as a volunteer in several non profit agencies.
She was one of the co-founders of Beacon Place, a community center with programs for children and families. In that organization Peggy served in myriad volunteer and board roles, including as Board Vice President, Board
Treasurer, and lead Marketing and Development officer for the agency. Committed to serving needy families in Waukegan and North Chicago, Peggy helped to create the Waukegan Community Broadband Taskforce and has served as initial co-chair of CONNECTWAUKEGAN.
Peggy holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Dayton and began her career as a buyer for the midwestern division of Federated Department Stores in Cincinnati, Ohio. She moved to Chicago, and began a career working in various positions in marketing and product development at Northern Trust Bank before leaving to start a family.
Peggy and her husband Charlie live in Lake Forest, Illinois where they raised their family of four sons.
